I live in Louisville with my boyfriend Page.I'm a pretty awesome bartender, if I do say so myself.
I am the inventor of the Dirty Whore and the Pink Sphincter, and about 20 other drinks that I have put to paper if not memory. I enjoy the mixologist part of the job, come in on a slow night - or tip well - and we can play my favorite game, you tell me a liquor and a color, and I'll make the drink.
I used to be the band mom, back when I did booking at 7 Black Cats. I miss that job, and hope to reprise it when I start my own bar.I played for the roller derby team the Furious Trucktop Waitresses (FTW). I retired after our April '08 game.
I've been a fire dancer, a herbalist, majored in anthropology, minored in Chinese language (Mandarin), and Classics (Greek Mythology). I dropped out of school twice now, once to join a circus (that lasted about two days, my lesson - clowns are assholes).
I'm was a founding member of Tucson Roller Derby. (In case you haven't figured it out that was the second reason; well I realized that I was gonna have to quit drinking, or quit roller derby, because both were effecting my schoolwork. So I dropped out of school. I don't recommend it for most, but it worked for me.)I have fibromyalgia, and live on herbal supplements trying to keep it at bay and am trying out Kundalini yoga as well. I highly recommend the stretch workout from RaviAna.com, if you share my condition. That and finding the sport, or exersise that makes you want to get out of the bed, even when it hurts to do so. I had a team that I would be letting down, it got me past the pain, and I swear there is a place past the pain.
