Dcon, real name 'Dwayne D? S????', was born on the 18th of May 1982 in the beautiful cold weather of Watford, England. His mother was a sales assistant in a local DIY retail shop and his father while as the youth of today say “waste man”. Dcon was the first born. He was considered to be a child genius by his teachers who nicked named him “sweet brain aka the boy wonder”.
In 1984, after his mum and dad separated, his mum took him to west London in search of a better life. They lived in Ealing; west London for two years then became homeless so they had to go to Ladbroke Grove (west) to live with their Grandmother. They then got rehoused in a council house in Ladbroke Grove. School became boring for him, as it no longer tested his intelligence and skills. His mum sent him to “Henry Compton secondary school in Fulham where he stayed for five years but got expelled in the forth year. During his time in school he got caught up in the wrong crowd and ended up in a lot of criminal activities, which amounted to him being arrested for various petty crimes. He got all his G.C.S.E's even though he had been kicked out from school. He went to 'Richmond Upon Thames, college he gained a pass in Art and Design NVQ Level 2.
Early January 99 Dcon ended up in prison at the age of 18 for a street robbery committed in his area of Ladbroke Grove nearly a year previously. He was on remand for a hot sec, ended up doing nearly 8 months or so. Dcon then went to court to be told that he was free to go due to lack of evidence. While being in prison DCON'S music quest started, just as music course within H.M.P Y.O.I FELTHAM (I SEE YOU GOV.) Early beginnings saw DCON, and other inmates to look up to, it was inevitable that he would embrace the underworld even more than before. Besides, they weren't just criminals; they were now his friends. It was this environment that enabled him to form a friendship with a few inmates and formed a group called “Musical GangStars”. Everyone within the group established a musical sound/ talent. Behind bars is where he first discovered his talent for musical productions, song writing, promoting . He spent most of the time in his cell writing and perfecting his craft but had no real intentions to take it seriously. Even though everyone kept assuring Dcon that he could make it in the music business, he was too stuck in his criminal ways and refused to give up the streets for the beats. DCON is more recently known for his musical productions, song writing, promoting, and management skills and finance support.
Like many artists DCON has been through his ups & downs, and them so so days. DCON found himself getting court up within the streets seeing death “when kidnapped at gun point” of a blink of the eye, and jail cells.
It wasn't long before DCON showed great determination to bounce right back. As he was becoming a father (MINI DCON I SEE YA...) Dcon decided that the best way to crack the industry would be to show that there is a lot to come from I.O.C such as the clothing line, promotion team, under 18’s football team…… As a group and becoming a father it watered down his harsh lifestyle and surroundings.
Dcon would like to tell all the young people that listen to and love I.O.C music that he is not trying to state the gangster life of being a good way of living. Because there is no glory in burying your family and friends, or being in prison for life. Far from glorifying it, Dcon states that I.O.C is simply advertising it for those unlike himself that don't know what it's like to live where they live. Dcon says that if you listen closely to I.O.C songs, u uncovers a lot of pain and hurt that’s all the streets brings, so why would you want to follow? "It's too late for some".

Finally, try not to lose sight of the bigger picture... to all my real brothers and sisters, nothing but love. Some people like to ask “what religion is DCON?” Let me tell you I’m a Christ-Lim so don’t get it twisted you feel me. Dcon was brought up in the eyes of Christianity, but in the time of life he lives he follows Islam. Insha-Allah / God Bless they will realise the truth in their own time.
