..Let me see, Ive been performing for over 25 years & have had the pleasure of meeting & working with some great musicians and fine human beings. One of the most precious joys in my life is that I get to create the gift of music with my eldest son, drummer/musician Joshua (myspace stixoholic/Josh M.). Our Latest collaboration with Anthony Terry (Sax) & Darrell Brogdon (Keyboards) has produced a Smooth Jazz/R&B group we call "GROOVE FACTOR". We also are available for private & corporate events. If you need a great Rock Band, I'm also the Bassist for "LifeLine" with Mark Odom (Guitar Wars Winner) and Rick Pichardo (Drums). Mike’s bass work & co-production on the Gospel CD “You Don’t Know†with James Bennett and the Texas Jubilaires earned accolades as the “1 Quartet Gospel Recording Group†at the 2009 San Antonio Gospel Music Awards. In 2009 as a member of the St Mary’s Jazz Orchestra, Mike performed Gordon Goodwin’s music with the Los Angeles Big Phat Band creator at the San Antonio Fiesta Jazz Festival. No stranger to television Mike has performed on various television shows to include the local Fox Morning Show and a 2008 presentation with the Mark Odom Band on the local KENS 5 program “Great Day San Antonioâ€. Previous to his latest partnership with the group “InnerGâ€, Mike created a collaboration with his son drummer/musician Joshua McLean, Anthony Terry (sax) and Darrell Brogdon (keyboards) that produced a Smooth Jazz/R&B group called “GROOVE FACTOR†which continues to perform at various events in San Antonio. In 2008 he opened for Joe McBride at the Fiesta Taste of New Orleans with Billy Ray Sheppard. In 2007 he opened for the world renowned group Spyro Gyra playing original smooth jazz with Grammy Nominated Artist Charlie Wood and also opened for the Legendary Johnny Winter with the Jimmy Spacek Blues Experience. In 2007 Mike performed at the Fiesta Taste of New Orleans Event where he opened for "Pieces of a Dream". Other accomplishments include the stage productions â€Journey of the Silver Chord 2009â€, “Do Not Pass Me By 2006â€, and “Godspell 2002â€. Mike also performed for Oak Hills Church Neighbor Day Celebration 2005 in the San Antonio ATT center featuring speakers Max Lucado and former San Antonio Spurs Center, David Robinson before a crowd of over 11,000 people. He has performed and or recorded with local and nationally recognized artist including gospel phenomenon, Rance Allen, contemporary Latin Artist Lisa Lopez, Gospel Sensation Dorinda Clark-Cole, South Texas “Gimme the Mike†winner female vocalist Alisa Clarity, gospel artists Timothy Wright, Milton Bingham, David Kauffman and Contemporary Christian artist Kim Hill. Local San Antonio artists Mike has worked with include, Rock singer Rick Sanford of Legs Diamond, Texas Blues guitarist Catherine Denise, Barbara Lynn, Sax legend Spot Barnett, R&B Soul singer Wilbur Beasley, Country & Western group River Train, Rock Groups The ProjX, Shut Up Jason, and the amazing young blues guitarist Will Owen-Gage. Mike hosts a weekly open mic session featuring “The “Make My Day†All Starsâ€. Mike has opened for The Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Canton Spirituals, and many, many others. Mike also performed in the 2002 San Antonio production of the play Godspell. Mike recently earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from St Mary’s University and teaches Bass & Guitar privately at Jeff Ryder’s Drum Shop.Mike has professional endorsement deals with Lakland Bass Guitars and Summit Audio Products. Mike plays a custom Lakland 5 string bass on the Summit Audio TD-100 through Bergantino Audio Systems Intelligent Power Cabinets.Whew well enough of that.......Just be Blessed and do what you Love!!!.... ..
