About Me

Formed in 2003 with his best friends, Rigo Marrufo and Cody Wilmon (as drummer and bassist), Carlos J.R. Garcia started Age of Apathy. In 2004 Cody was replaced by his sister, Senaida, who joined on as bassist. S oon after Rigo left as drummer, leaving the collaborative efforts of Carlos and Senaida to write. Soon into the year 2005 Senaida decided to pursue directing amongst other things, leaving Carlos as the sole member of the band. Carlos eventually put Age of Apathy on hold to join The Ya Ya Boom Project! (now "Ya Ya Boom") as guitarist. However, Carlos has never let his mind wander too far from what was Age of Apathy, incorporating riffs into his other band to create new songs with Ya Ya Boom. Currently it is unclear as to what will happen with Age of Apathy. Carlos hopes to continue the band eventually, first as a solo project, then possibly forming a band. However, current plans are vague. Only time will tell if the project will gather steam and see it's first CD release. 2009 seems to be a year of growth, perhaps things will change soon...
