Fabianne (FAH-bee-on)I grew up in San Diego, but I wrote my first song on a beach in North Carolina when I was about six or seven years old – it was about umbrellas. Since then I have learned to play the piano and guitar, and the subject matter of my songs has become slightly less frivolous, but only slightly.In an attempt to “grow up”, I prioritized education over music for four years at UCSD from which I graduated with a degree in International Studies. However, now that I am older, I have realized that growing up is over-rated and that music serves me much better than any salary ever could.My music is honest because I write it without the intention of every playing it for anyone; however, I am always ultimately seduced by a stage, bright lights, and an audience (no matter how small it may be), and reveal my most intimate thoughts to perfect strangers, or worse yet, friends and family. I always hope that my music is relatable or at least as therapeutic to listeners as it is to me.
