With Stones (NEW SONGS UP!!!)

About Me

With Stones in His Pockets has finished recording his second EP. A collection of complex, emotive rock songs, Above Lake Superior will be available soon. It totally has cowbell, and looks a lot like this!
Drawing from a massive pool of influences - musical and non-musical - With Stones in His Pockets writes folk infused post-punk songs of everyday life twisted and contorted into unsettling, gothic vignettes.
In early 2008, With Stones in His Pockets released his debut EP, Farewell Happy Fields, for download on itunes and some other nice music sites. It was recorded, mixed and arranged by singer songwriter Amit Chadda , who also produced the artwork.
By early September 2008 With Stones had all the songs written for his debut album, entitled Falls The Shadow.
However, by late September 2008, With Stones had grown sick and tired of planning and thinking about his debut album, and started writing songs for an EP of stripped down, off the cuff folk songs which should be released in Spring 2009. Although he does plan to release the album in due course.
What else? Um... oh, yes! When I say "He", what I actually mean is "Me".

"... The Who playing prog rock Radiohead covers... A solid debut effort."

"The acoustic-led Speaking In Tongues... at first washes over with great ease, but as the plays stack up it all becomes a lot more sinister, as those voices merge with the lyrics to provide something that’s a lot more haunting. It’s a definite highlight, and it almost comes as a shock when the electronic beats and audible desecration of Are You Awak’d? comes in. The culmination of these two tunes provide the best moments of the five-track release, with their split personality soundclash becoming nothing but enjoyable."
