About Me
Born in Austin, Tx.
Eventually, I finished up at the Univ. of Texas in Austin with a degree in RTVF.
That was in the eighties and early 90s where my interests were punk rock, foreign films and punk rock.
Once I was out of school I started working on low budget films including one called 'Slacker'.
I've been a set electrician(aka, juicer, lighting tech, lamp op, etc) ever since, occasionally working in the possition as gaffer.
In my off time I've been working on a documentary history of psychedelia in Austin Tx during the 1960s. This covers Austin during the post-beat folk days of the early '60s with a young Janis Joplin, the arrival of LSD in '65, the emergence of the 13th Floor Elevators, and the opening and closing of the Vulcan Gas Company; the first psychedelic venue in Texas, modeled after the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. Because of work and being the sole director/ producer, I've been on this project for quite a while. But now, it's really done. And, it can be purchased at the website, www.dirtroadtopsych.com or in Austin at Waterloo Records, Antone's Records, End of an Ear Records and Wild About Music.
