I am here for Friends

About Me

Hello! My real name is Rich, based back in Swindon these days after 15 years in Oxfordshire, So why Mark E Moon? It's a play on my favourite ever album (Marquee Moon by Television). I'm 35 going on 16, still spend far too much money on cds, going to gigs and alcoholic beverages and am generally potty about music, when i'm not trying to earn a living i'm generally found frequenting several local Swindon pubs and venues either DJing (Furnace, Vic, 12 Bar) or just drinking (Beehive, The Castle, The Rolleston), have also got into promoting gigs again and co-founded the "Songs of Praise" band night as well as the "Swindon Shuffle" festival. Recently brought my bass guitar out of retirement and have formed a band called The Magic Club.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Sadly a lot of the people I'd like to have met are no longer with us (John Peel, Joe Strummer, Ian Curtis, Bill Hicks) but either Mark E Smith or John Lydon.

My Blog

John Peel - 3 Years On

Hard to believe that it's 3 years next month since John Peel passed away, I know the term "hero" is banded about far too much but in the case of Peel was fully justified, I'm certainly part of the "Pe...
