Myspace Backgrounds I am afraid of: the dentist; planes flying overhead when I can't see them; big birds (no, not big bird like on sesame street, big birds like geese and ducks and big parrots that look like they might be able to take off a finger); understanding why I am not worth it. I like: The sun on my face; hot, humid summers; sweet tea; good friends; not smoking (for over a year now, thank you, Chantix); old cars (chrystler please) and trucks (chevy not ford); motorcycles (esp. my '84 Shadow); bicycles; tatoos; girls in big boots with long hair and tight jeans; playing pool; playing poker; knives; drinking cheap beer and people who drink cheap beer; double rum and cokes; books (i love the smell of books and used book stores); graphic novels and comic collections; libraries; taking the back alley instead of the main road; records, I mean actual vinyl ones; typewriters and things that have been writen on typewriters; spicy food; tamales from small taquerias where no one speaks english; cooking for lots of people; spontaneous road trips with no pre-planned destination and no time limit; touring; slow southern drawls; brooklyn accents; messy hair; patches on clothes; black t-shirts; diy clothing and accessories; zines; text messaging; late nights that turn into early mornings without me noticing; long walks along railroad tracks in durham with a can of spraypaint and too much whiskey in my belly; the ocean; the mountains; southwestern red rock; northwestern redwoods and evergreens; southeastern swamps and bayous; traveling on I-10 and crossing long bridges; big sailboats; eating dinner right after sunset on a board walk on a balmy summer evening; video arcades; astrology; mythology; doing handy work aroud the house that requires power tools and a hammer; getting up on the roof just because; animals (big birds are okay from a distance or in a cage); old stereo equipment; clean bathrooms; getting letters and mail that's not bills; kitties, especially Hubert and Izzy and Tim and Chumley; apfelsaft; Old Spice Deodorant; brushing my teeth; giving people gifts; chillin and grillin (I make a mean grilled shrimp, steak, and burger); skinny dipping with hott, crushable party people;Carolina's hugs; Kym's hugs too; and Shayne's hugs; and I like hugs a lot; and making out; not having to explain myself; having an uncomplicated love life (although that rarely happens - fuckin drama queers, I love em); the Griffon roller coaster at Busch Gardens; and that's all i can think of for now. I don't like: dirty kitchens; george bush (jr.or sr.); cruel people; liers; cheaters; manipulators; cleaning up after others (unless i'm your house boy and you're paying me in sex); rejection in any shape size or form; ambiguity; indecision (I am guilty of this alot); people who choose not to be in love; the ones who (intentionally or not) make me feel like i'm not worth it; fighting unnecessarily.i used to be the tour manager for a local rock band, i used to be a plumber's apprentice. i've done construction, logo design and vinyl sign production, and worked customer service forever. i worked at the local co-op grocery store that didn't survive. i miss touring. a lot. i want to go back to school, but don't want to get into debt to do it. i'm a gender queer kid in a grown up's body who likes loud music, live shows and friendly faces. i need a haircut. i always need a haircut."The spoken word, like the written word, amounts to a nonsensical arrangement of sounds or letters without consensus that assigns "meaning". And building from the meanings of what we hear, we order reality. Words themselves are innocuous; it is the consensus that gives them true power." -Gloria Naylor

I'd like to meet:

People with something interesting to say. Conspiracy theorists, lovers, dreamers. If you are selfish, self involved, emotionally bankrupt, self righteous or elitist, stay away from me.
