"The Illness" as it simply has become to be known is one of the most aggressive and deadly lyrical pathogens discovered in over 40 distinct schools of rap. Exposure to the illness can result in infection in as little as five minutes, and will generally result in death within T+ 24.00-36.00 hours. Symptoms begin almost immediately with nodding heads and tapping feet, followed by an increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Over the next several hours, the Illness attacks the cardiovascular, hepatic, and central nervous systems. Cardiovascular symtoms include an increase in blood pressure, resulting in blood shot eyes. At T+ 6-8 hours, the liver begins to manifest symptoms similar to that of advanced chirrotic hepatitis, and the subject may take on the yellow skin and eyes characteristic of Jaundice. Ultimately, the most important and dangerous effect of exposure to the Illness is its effect on the brain. The lyrical assault of the Illness, which can be accellerated by inclusion of the Pig complex, begins to deteriorate the brain almost immediately. By overloading the areas of the brain that process "incessant flows", the myelin sheathing that insulates nerve impulses in the brain begin to break down, and become something comparable to bare wires, which will result in mis and cross-synaptic firing. By T+20 hours of exposure, depending on length and circumstances of exposure, the patient will show symptoms congruent with that of an advanced alzheimer's sufferer. Although all bodily systems would eventually succumb to the Illness, it is this assault on the brain that generally results in the subject's death by lyrical homocide. Prior to death however, the subject becomes increasingly eratic and confused, and eventually aggressive to the point of self-disregard. The Illness is rarely passed from person to person, but it is possible in a performance environment. So get sick, bitchesMyspace Graphics
