Alexandra is a 17-year-old star on the rise. As a talented actress, dancer, singer, and model Alex's career is really taking off. Alexandra has been dancing since the age of two and is represented by one of the top dance agencies in Los Angeles. She has won numerous national dance titles and was a member of Culture Shock’s junior hip-hop troupe Future Shock, and danced for the contemporary company Unity Dance Ensemble. Alexandra is accomplished in hip-hop, jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern, tap, and acrobatics, and continues to train taking classes at The Edge, Millennium, and Formality Dance Academy. “Dance is my life, my passion; I can speak my mind through movement. I share my love of dance with that of acting; the stage is my home and the camera is my friend.”
As an actress, she is represented by one of L.A.’s top commercial/theatrical agencies. Alexandra most recently finished work on a "first of its kind" national Bud Light commercial which promotes responsible parenting, and an upcoming national spot for Sears. She has also appeared as a recurring character on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, and as a co-star on the CW's All Of Us. Alexandra's natural ability for various dialects landed her the co-starring role of British-speaking Persephone on the season finale of Jake In Progress with John Stamos on ABC. She has been an "Evergirl" for two Evergirl campaigns on Nickelodeon, and Alex's Sketchers commercial, in which she's eating a Sketchers tennis shoe, just recently left the air waves. Alex has many video credits as well, including the music video Breakaway with Kelly Clarkson. Alexandra also has an impressive print portfolio, but her most notable spread was as the 2005 model to launch Finish Line's Maddie Collection by Nike. She appeared in Seventeen, Teen People, Elle Girl, Cosmo Girl, and in Finish Line stores Nationwide.
Alex is also an extremely talented and busy singer. She has opened for artists such as Pitbull and The Ying Yang Twins, and has performed at The Honda Center, B.B. King’s, and many other L.A. venues when she was a member of a girl group called "BitterSweet". Music has always been a huge and important part of Alex’s life. She never really imagined “making it” as a singer, but once she discovered her talent and passion for singing she can’t imagine not making it. Alex’s taste in music is quite diverse and eclectic. Although she doesn’t want to be like any other artist she is influenced by artists such as U2, Pink, Green Day, Christina Aguilera, and Ani Difranco because they all have something to say about politics, love, and life. As an artist Alex wants to trace those lines and continue with the messages those artists have sent. Alexandra believes that music is the universal language of mankind. “I want to speak it, live it, and share it with the world.”
When Alexandra is not busy taking dance or acting classes, voice lessons, auditioning, or teaching dance to young children, she enjoys hanging out at home with her family (mom, dad, little sister, and cousin) and friends. Alex is an avid wake boarder, and family trips – including their big yellow Labrador – to the Colorado River are the highlight of her summer. Giving back to the community is also important to Alex. She is a regular volunteer for events at Hope Elementary (her little sister’s school). Be it Gold Rush Day and panning for gold or the Autumn Festival and face painting Alex loves working with the kids. Alexandra’s most rewarding accomplishment last year was being a part of the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in San Diego. She and her mom raised over $4,000 and walked 60 miles in 3 days to help raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. Being one of thousands of people all walking for the same cause and doing it with my mom was “the most amazing and moving experience of my life”.
Alexandra believes that as an artist, she will go where she is meant to go. She knows that she has to work hard, but has the mindset that nothing will stop her. The one and only thing that Alex hopes to accomplish is reaching people. “After all, that’s what music is all about, and I have such a great passion for it that I hope it will touch people and move something inside them.”
