Formed in 2007 from the wreckage of several country rock vehicles (BLACK SADDLE, CHERRY FOREVER,PAYDIRT, THE REBEL OUTLAW BROTHERS BAND) spanning 10 years and thousands of miles- JOHN KIRK has gathered his RESTLESS SPIRIT in the golden state hoping to wrangle some of the magic wrought by California honkytonk heroes like Haggard, Buck and Gram- never forgetting his Texas roots and the music of Willie, Waylon and Buddy. Playing original songs and a healthy mix of covers that feel like they wrote 'em, JOHN KIRK and the RESTLESS SPIRIT are rockin' the hardwood somewhere tonight... THANKS FOR MAKING THE EL RIO GIG A GREAT SHOW!

Thanks to all who braved the mild, fog-free SF evening to come dig the show at EL RIO last Wednesday. You guys were a heckuva great crowd. Hats off to Larry Bob who keeps the alt/country flame burning...
