Craig is a young lyricist with undeniable talent. He takes scenarios from his gritty reality and turns them into razor sharp lyrics and underground anthems. Known for his controversial word play he manages to keep both his male and female fans satisfied, with his gritty true to life street narrative records as well as his romantic story telling verses to capture the ladies. He managed to more then just capture the ladies with his first release ‘Give it 2 U’ which featured the vocals of R’n’B singer Whodini. The single was a hit and Craig was booked up and down the country to perform the song. He even performed it to over 2000 revellers at Newham Carnival in Central Park, Eastham of which many knew the words. Craig produced most of his album with Krunchie including the single ‘My Girl’ which received a great response from the Northern parts of England and especially Manchester, where the track was championed by DJ Snowman of Buzz FM. Buzz FM received so much interest in ‘My Girl’ that Craig was invited to the studio for an impromptu interview, in which the studio received hundreds of text messages. Following on from its success in Manchester ‘My Girl’ was then picked up by the BBC’s Homegrown radio show and played by DJ Ras Kwame and then by BBC 1xtra’s Mistajam on his show. Currently 'My Girl' is nearly on 70,000 hits on YouTube. Craig is now beginning radio promotion of the first single off his debut album ‘Ground Floor' entitled 'Signz'. The song sees him reunite with Whodini on the vocals and Vex on the production. ‘Signz’ is already tipped to be a radio favourite with heavy support from Manchester, BBC’s Ras Kwame who has had it on his podcast and BBC 6music. The remix of ‘Signz’ will feature Tinie Tempah and Bashy. It is due for release in August 2009 and the 'Ground Floor' album is due for release in October 2009. All in all it seems 2009 is about to become a very exciting year for Craig. For more info please contact: Dego on [email protected] making of the Diet Song
