Actively involved in promoting the electronic music scene of his hometown, Cordoba, Argentina in the mid 90s Facundo Carri took over the turntables and began djing at the same time he was developing new information technology projects.
After a trip to New York in 1998, where he reaffirmed his devotion to house, garage and Danny Tenaglia of course, his name was established in Cordoba"s nightlife behind the decks at El Rey club, followed by frequent visits to Buenos Aires. Soon considered the Argentinean referent of tribal house, Facu (as friends call him) started playing at main events and parties of the capital city, such as renowned Clubland nights at Pacha, alongside the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Saeed & Palash, Satoshi Tomiie, Tom Stephan, Angel Moraes, John Creamer, Cedric Gervais, Timo Mass, Christian Smith, Randall Jones, Francesco Farfa, Michel del Hey, Luke Fair and Tenaglia himself.
Eager to focus on multimedia productions, he was part of the staff responsible for putting a series of interdisciplinary events at the German Goethe Institut and he featured an audiovisual performance-installation about "The influence of 80s video-games on electronic music" at the Centro Cultural España Cordoba.
Included in Creamfields Buenos Aires line up since its first edition, Facu usually alternates his residencies in Cordoba at Lokitas, El Infierno and Peek-a-boo (where he is also the artistic curator), with gigs around the country in cities such as Buenos Aires, Rosario, Mar del Plata, Bariloche, Ushuaia and Comodoro Rivadavia.
His musical selections have also shaken dancefloors across Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile and Uruguay, whereas last summer he headlined many important clubs throughout the Atlantic Coast. It was during his visits to the seaside city of Mar del Plata that he cut his teeth producing tracks, lead by fellows London 909. Together they"ve put out a remix of World Routes from Spanish dj Chus.
Facu"s sessions of deep and tribal house, with new and classic tracks, can be listened to every tuesday from 11pm at his Main Room show on Metrodance 95.1 FM. Metrowebsite
