NIMER

A native of Israel, started his Bass studies at the age of 14. In 1999 Nimer (nimrod lachish) studied in the Bass Collective school, New-York, under Steve Marks and Gregory Jones (where he also played with the 'Symptom' band which performed in some of the main NY venues). Between 2003-2005 Nimer studied at the Rimon school of jazz and Contemporary Music.Nimer helped to establish the 'Common Bond', an eight piece band performing a merger of Jazz-Rock-Ethnic music. Established in 1999, the 'Common Bond' has performed intensively around Israel as well as appearing in several international jazz festivals such as 'Kaunas' - Lithuania, 'Ruska-Swing' - Finland, 'Red Sea' - Israel, 'Joy of Jazz' - South Africa and more.In 2000 Nimer established 'The Web' quartet. The group specialized in performing Jungle-Jazz music, both original music and freshly arranged standards.In 2004 participated Nimer in the development and performance of a unique musical project named 'Zimba', under the conductance of Chen Zimbalista.Since 2007 Nimer is a part of the 'Tanur' quartet, featuring original world music, as well as Arabic and Turkish classical music which is ifluenced by the style and experience of each of the trio members.Nowadays, Nimer is constantly touring Israel and abroad with leading artists such as 'meir banay' and the winning awards singer 'Din-Din Aviv'.
