About Me
My name is “Magic, Cilla & Baby - Ramsor om tjejer, killar & grejer†and I’m a children’s book. I will be released in September 2007 at Vilda Förlag.
I’m cool, smart and educational. I will revolutionize the children’s book market in terms of content, vocabulary, form and aesthetics. I approach all kinds of subjects, such as racism, sexuality and solidarity, but also feelings of happiness, loneliness, love and injustice, all wrapped up in a creative language combining modern and traditional expressions.
Of course I’m looking damn good as well! With a dream-team of 20 of Sweden’s most interesting and successful illustrators in a collaboration not yet seen before, nothing can really go wrong!
My target group is children 5-12 years, but also open-minded adults who are tired of books that reproduce traditional norms.
I’m written by Eva Lundgren and illustrated by: Anne-Li Karlsson, Bo Lundberg, Catharina Tham, Emma Göthner, Erica Jacobson, Eva Hjelte, Gifford (Arvid Tappert & Jonas Löfgren), Hanna Petersson, Ingela & Vi (Elisabeth Månsson & Peter Turkalj), Ingrid Flygare, Kicki Fjell, Leo Hallin, Moa Lindqvist Bartling, Nanna Johansson, Sara Teleman, Thomas Olsson, Tina Landgren and Åsa Amble. Ingrid Flygare served as editor of illustration and created the cover artwork. Layout by Jenny Salmson.
