About Me

I'm a musician, artist and poet. I was born in Hexham (England), but my family moved around a lot because my father is in the British army. While studying literature at the University of London for a year, I moved into my nan's flat in London. A lot of my writing was done at Willesden cemetary where I worked filling graves.

After finishing university, I moved into a flat with Carl Barat, a friend and fellow musician. We formed the Libertines in the late '90s and released our first album, "Up the Bracket," in 2002. In 2004 the Libertines disbanded.

In 2005 I released "Down in Albion" with my new band, Babyshambles and in December 2006 we released "The Blinding EP".
