Make Your Custom Scroller at CommentBuddy.com Born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico and raised in NY. Music has made a huge impact in my life. I could go as far as saying that I have a musical soul. My love of synchronizing music for entertainment began when I used to look out my third floor window in our NY apartment and enjoy the crowds of spectators that had gathered at the corner of my street to watch the ongoing musical block parties that took place almost every other weekend. It was clear to me then that I wanted others to feel elated with emotions at the tunes that I could mix up for them.My mom’s best friend was married to a professional DJ in NYC. My first glimpse of the DJ life style was when I attended the Oasis Night Club in Manhattan. He was there that night I absolutely became mesmerized by the poetry of his sound mixing. He would pick out a song that was heard in all the radio stations yet he had the ability to create a sound with in the music that grasped everyone’s attention and then made them all want to get up and dance the night away. It became clear to me then that I wanted that lifestyle. I wanted the attention and I enjoyed the idea that a real DJ could either make or break a party. In the late 80's I had already acquired some experience from my years of living in NJ. My step father (Dj Mike) had done some radio work back in Ponce, PR (radio wzar) and he DJ in a club called Terrace Inn. In this club I began to experiment with the mixing of music and my master of ceremonies development. I assisted him at all venues and private parties and then started to spread out on my own.By the mid 90's I returned to NY and began generating more experience at various popular night clubs. I started out as a back up DJ until word got around and I found myself hired at a permanent hot spot called Club Paradise. I was featured there for 6 years. From then on I frequently also made appearances in Club Masterpiece, The Palladium and The Three Amigos. Now in present time I live and work in Kissimmee, Florida. I’ve made recent appearances in several local Latino night clubs but I’ve recently minimized myself to private events. My equipment is state of the art and I’m constantly experimenting with new technology to further enhance my sound editing and mixing. I specialize in Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, top 40s, etc.
