Phaedra

Phaedra could be the unkown daughter of Kate Bush and Jimmy Page, and she is also known to have befriended Lee Hazelwood at some point during the 60s. Phaedra is initially a bringer of light, emerging and disappearing, and also of bliss, which actually is, as we found out in the dictionary, a state of spiritual blessedness, typically that reached after death. Phaedra now resides in the humble bodies of Ingvild Langgård, Thora Dolven Balke and Henrik Langgård, three artists and musicians in Oslo, that are as often as possible singing with multiple voices, playing an old Martin acoustic, as well as a 12 string, a banjo and the piano. Phaedra has some tendencies to backwards singing, and she also likes to play bottles, cutlery, glasses, metal parts, jewelry, tabletops, dog breathing, glockenspiel, mbira, melodica and accordion, not to forget the lovely instrument claves. The musical universe of Phaedra is inspired by all kinds of folk music, soul and country music, and Kate Bush. The songs tell stories of doubt, death, meeting a dog at the crossroads, trading, losing the soul, looking for it, and finding bliss in the shape of a black horse, as well as some love songs, mostly dedicated to the horse mentioned.
