Borja Oubiña Meléndez (born 17 May 1982 in Vigo) is a Spanish football midfielder who started his career in Celta de Vigo.A reliable, creative midfielder who has only played for local club in his career, being a team mainstay since 2004 -thanks to the confidence of his manager Fernando Vázquez. Oubiña has earned two caps for the Spain national football team. He played in the Champions League and UEFA Cup.
After Celta's relegation in May 07, Oubiña signed one year loan with Birmingham city. Borja was seriously injured in his game against Liverpool. In February 2008 his contract is cancelled.

Borja Oubiña Meléndez (Vigo, 17 de mayo de 1982) es un futbolista español procedente de la cantera del Real Club Celta de Vigo. Desempeña la función de mediocentro.Debutó con el Celta en el partido que enfrentaba al Valencia contra el Celta en la temporada 2003-2004 de la mano de Miguel Ángel Lotina. Esa tempora jugó doce partidos de liga y en dos de la Liga de Campeones en la cual debutó contra el Arsenal. Ese mismo año, el equipo descendió a la segunda división.Oubiña lideró al equipo como titular indiscutible (gracias a la confianza de Fernando Vázquez) hasta el ascenso, así como al año siguiente, ya en primera, fue determinante para que el equipo alcanzara la sexta plaza y se clasificara para la Copa de la UEFA.En la temporada 2006-2007 el Celta vuelve a descender, y Borja es cedido al Birmingham para la temporada 2007-2008. Borja se lesiona de gravedad al inicio de su temporada en la Premier. En Febrero del 2008 se rescinde dicho contrato, dejando al jugador libre.
