"Marvolus Da Great" represents Rock Island, IL.
Holding "Da Town" down with a rich new sound,
(P.) has been claimed to be one of Hip Hop's most
valuable/versatile artists the game has ever seen.
With his witty wordplay and constructive concept
for songs, this is what makes (P.) at the top of the game.
As a songwriter, (P.) has been writing R&B and
Hip Hop songs for the past 5 years. Starting when he was 16 years old
(P.) decided to take his talent to the microphone,
naming himself "Marvolus Da Great" AKA "MDG".
Growing up on the streets of Rock Island, (P.)
spent most of his childhood in the famous and infamous
Century Woods Apartments formerly know as "Arsenal Courts"

How did (P.) get started in the rap game?Starting at the young age of 13, (P.) first experiment
with music at his fathers basement with a few friends and
his cousin. Using a Sony boom box and two generic desktop mic,
he began engineering himself. As time (P.) developed into a hip hop
with many monikers, such as Faze One, MDG (Marvolus Da Great),
Da Kid, Proud Muzik, evolving to into now (P.) He also started
experimenting in production with FL Studio and Record Producer.
Building a homemade studio at age of 15 and attending Hamilton Tech
College gave (P.) the advantage of clear sounding and organized music.
(P.) has engineered, produced, co-produced, ghostwritten, arranged,
and developed many local artists in the Quad City area. (P.)'s skills progressed
as time passed. Developing his own style of lyrics and delivery (and which
he calls "wordplay") he has kept a high standard of music for the pass 8 years,
leaving competition in the dust.(P.) also has experience in graphic design,
making flyers and advertisements for local and major artists and events.
In addition, (P.) has experience with video editing, creating music videos,
commercial events, and DVD documentaries. And last but not least, (P.)
has used his talents for local businesses via radio, promoting customers to
certain businesses. With many facets in entertainment, (P.) is a one-man
band that has the talent to conquer any obstacle in the entertainment business.
