Ladies! Open Call

About Me

Ladies! OpenCall: An All Female CompilationLadies! OpenCall is for the talented woman who plays an instrument, sings a song, raps a rhyme, tells a joke or expresses herself thru spoken word.Ladies! OpenCall is the brainchild of Kim Jackson and Keith Shocklee. They wanted to provide an outlet for talented women everywhere to express themselves through their music. As you know, there are many talented women in the world but unfortunately there are only a few that make it into the glass towers called record companies. Albeit very talented they do not fit the cookie-cutter mold companies hold so dear. Unfortunately, even fewer find the needed financing to support their recording endeavors. Therefore, we have created an outlet that would enable talented women everywhere to participate on an independently commercially released album that we can all be proud of.Based out of DHR Studios in New York City, both Kim Jackson and Keith Shocklee can be contacted via [email protected] or myspace.com/ladiesopencall.
