Fallen Heroes

About Me

"With the latest Indiana Jones movie on the horizon I can see this genre stepping into the spotlight and deservedly so."
Barry Nugent

An orphan whose visions of death and destruction hold the key to his past and future.
A pair of master thieves hunted for a crime they did not commit.
An investigator of the unknown, a stalker of demons.
A government agent whose murder investigation will bring him face to face with a tragic mistake from his past.
All connected, all unwitting pawns in a plan set in motion over nine centuries before their birth.
Pursued across the globe by enemies both human and supernatural they must overcome their mistrust of each other and uncover the truth before it destroys them and unleashes a malevolent and ancient evil upon an unsuspecting world.

Reviews

These reviews have all been made by legitmate readers of the book.

This book was a rollercoaster of action and excitement. Great character development and a a real visual read! Although this is not typcially my 'type of book', I loved it and highly recommend it! Sue
A solid introduction to a new supernatural urban fantasy action series. There's a little bit of something for everyone in this book, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next volume.Keith
This was a really really good read. It reads like Indiana Jones meets James Bond, which is an awesome combo right there. What more could you want than spies, thieves, rogue government agencies, cults, booby traps and a bald guy with an eye patch??Stacey
I really enjoyed reading this book. I felt I got to know the various characters cared about what happened to them. One of my favourite scenes it towards the end of the book. It is written in a unusual style which very cleverly puts the reader right in the middle of what would otherwise have been a complicated idea to convey.Well formed characters and an exciting story line, what more could you want! Well, actually there is more to want, and that's the next book. Please don't make us wait too long for it. Debbie
I loved this book from beginning to end and struggled to put it down. I’ve not read a novel for a good few years and this has made me realise what I have been missing.Nugent balances a complex number of characters, situations and plot twists excellently and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. There was just the right balance of description vs. action. Nugent is not the kind of author to spend too long setting a scene with unnecessary exposition, rather describing it so vividly as to land the reader in the heart of the scene. Iz

Tell us about Fallen Heroes ?

"This is the kind of story I’ve always wanted to tell ever since I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was 11. Although, at its core, Fallen Heroes is a throwback the pulp adventure stories of old it deals with the themes of betrayal, redemption, hope and sacrifice in a modern and contemporary world.”
"With the latest Indiana Jones movie on the way I can see this genre stepping into the spotlight and deservedly so."
“It’s sometimes difficult finding the time to write but I could never imagine my life without that need to put pen to paper. It sounds like a cliché’ but it’s a part of who I am.

What does the future hold for you?

“At the moment I’m working on Perdition’s Shroud the sequel to Fallen Heroes as well as a Fallen Heroes special edition. This would be like a literary special edition DVD. It will include cut and extended scenes (and explanations as to why they were cut), character profiles and sketches. It was also include my own thoughts on the story with each chapter, like a kind of author’s commentary. The concept may not work at all but I’ve always seen my writing as a chance to expand and push my imagination and then push it some more.”

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

George Lucas,Steven Spielbery,Harrison Ford and John Williams. There would be no Fallen Heroes if not for these four men. I'd probably go as far as to say I would have never put pen to paper and written my first story "Trail of the cursed Cobras" when I was 11 years old after seeing Raiders.
