About Me

CAESURA BIOCaesura are a four piece alternative Rock band who strive to create music that is both aggressive and beautiful. Caesura began in October 2001 when the four members began rehearsing and writing material that mixed all of their influences together. These influences ranged from many music areas , in and outside of the modern rock scene; from Radiohead to Sigur Ros, from Joy Division to Nine inch nails, from Deftones to Mogwai… Over time the material developed as did the members`s musical individuality. Caesura had successfully melded all of their influences together to make their own original brand of music. Caesura can be described as beautiful in extremes, creating hard edge soulful moments that cross with a delicate and captivating lyrical side. Caesura began to perform in 2002 in local venues and soon - in London, playing in clubs such as The Garage, Bull and Gate, The Hope and Anchor and Madame Jo-jo`s. Caesura's live performance has improved immensely over time and continues to better itself. Caesura pride themselves of the energy their performances generate, and as a result, they captivate their audience, delivering an intense experience to those who witness it. Sounds Like: (Quote: glasswerk) Following on from an impressive first EP, Caesura find themselves on mixed ground at the Camden Underworld. That is to say that their performance is nothing short of impressive, but leaving the two acts that followed after them a tough lead to match. But the less said about them the better. Caesura comprises four young male rock enthusiasts. A mix of self-teaching and instrument swapping in their pasts, Caesura seems to them their best collaboration; and judging by their efforts it is no lie. Like their earlier EP – the band have find themselves drifting between heavy alternative rock to the more quite moments of the industrial spectrum to lure the listener in. Lead singer Max has no problem giving away stage presence, whilst both Bass and Guitar are content to thrive only when called upon to. Phil’s mainly self-taught guitar is one of the bands most impressive features, but is a tribute to himself of what he is capable of. Even more impressive is the line up of new tracks that the band has produced as most of them effortlessly overshadow the first EP. With this kind of progress and performance, Caesura need only the right ears to hear them.
