About Me

The bulletin below was posted by Bean's rescuer, nurse, maid, therapist and his biggest fan - Julie - who loved him madly during his last months with us. Bean died about an hour ago, in the arms of his mother, after getting progressively sicker over the last couple days. Please pray for his mom, this is very hard for her.
As one of Bean's "secretaries" on Myspace (he had a hard time standing at the computer to type), I want to say with all my heart *Thank you, thank you, thank you* to EVERYONE that has networked for Bean, loved Bean, healed Bean, donated to Bean, given him wheels, sent him food, lotion, medicine, posted comments for him and loved him near or afar. Bean is sending kisses, hugs, and love to everyone, especially to Julie, who would not allow him to be euthanized because he was paralyzed.
Laurie, Bean is with you, too.
God bless each and every one of you who gave Bean a chance for the most rocking wonderful 'end of his life" party that he's had since he became a Critter Crossings dog.

I have lost a beloved today, just moment's ago.
Bean has not been feeling well the past few days... temperature spikes and vomiting, but normal poop, normal behaviors and drinking water. As of yesterday he was up and about doing normal "Bean" stuff.
This morning I knew it... we took him in for a full blood panel (the last blood panel was not just "normal" but excellent) and a urinalysis.
He was in acute, renal failure... most likely from years of sitting about not having his bladder emptied (four times a day like we do) and the blatant neglect he suffered.
I am devastated... my son even asked me as we dropped him off this morning "is Bean our dog?" I said "no baby, but we love him like he is..." and that's when the tears started.
Well my Medical Director called a bit ago and said get to the vet now. We kissed him goodbye and I looked straight into his eyes and said "you are a good, good boy and I love you".... he is gone and so is a piece of my heart.
Run and play handsome, sometimes we're just too late.
