N’ the Event, “ your event concierge”, was established in 1998 by Jocelyn Avery, certified wedding and event designer. With over 10 years plus of rave reviews, and a proven track record of successful events, N’ the Event continues to strive for excellence through unparalleled professionalism and high standards. Every event is tailored to suit your style and taste. Our team of event planners will create an event budget, assist you in selecting a venue, refer vendors, create an event design, manage your event attendance, and follow through with the event planning until the very end. For our corporate clients, we extend additional services such as marketing and advertising, registration management, and sponsorship.Jocelyn and her event team are known for their unrivaled attention to detail and use of personal touches for events to create a unique feeling of warmth and intimacy no matter what type of event. Jocelyn is known for her passionate enthusiasm for event planning, whether she is planning a romantic dinner for two, a wedding for 400, a Sweet 16 party or a meeting for 20,000. Through a hybrid of unique and stunning floral designs, N' the Event creates remarkable designs that can transform any event into a fantasy. Jocelyn is also the mastermind behind the Washington DC Metropolitan area's first wedding chapel, the former Le Petite wedding Chapel. Outgrowing the space in a two year time span, Jocelyn will soon be opening Le Grande Wedding Chapel.In 2002, N' the Event expanded internationally, specializing in destination events. Jocelyn has designed weddings in Jamaica, Hawaii, Aruba, Carnival and Royal Carribean Cruiselines, Bermuda, Barbados, Antigua, Trinidad, and Nairobi Kenya. Her events are nationally known in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, New York, Los Angeles, South Carolina, California, Pennsylvania, and the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. Jocelyn consulted for and designed the Fahari Bridal Boutique at the Village Market in Nairobi, Kenya.N' the Event has been featured in Samantha Weddings Bridal Magazine, Nairobi Kenya. Articles "Wedding Trends, Whats Hot and What's Not" were written by Jocelyn. They also featured her wedding floral designs in a four page spread of the magazine. N' the Event has been featured in the Washington Post, Style section, Hyattsville Life and Time, and numerous radio stations.We look forward to meeting you at our new offices in the Historic Old Town, Alexandria, Virgina.

One day in the near future, we look forward to planning an event for Oprah, Kimora Lee Simmons, Beyonce, P. Diddy, Russell Simmons,or any other celebrity. As we continue to expand globally, it is our hope to become a part of the planning team for the Oscars or any other red carpet event. My desire is to be the company that celebrities and notables all over the world call on for all of their special events. My lifes passion would be to sit down one day with Preston Bailey, P. Diddy, Russell Simmons, Colin Cowie, Oprah, and Martha Stewart. I would be just like a sponge and soak up all of the knowledge they have to share of how to truly become successful in this industry, and the art of building an empire. Success in definitely in our reach......We are ready and prepared to seize the moment.
