When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'"
I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!
Pretty is as Pretty does... but beautiful is just plain beautiful!

was not conceived down here.
Your faith proclaims it's heaven-made,
the proof is in each tear.The truth in love is found,
in the giving not receiving.
When your happiness is based upon,
the other soul believing.Your cup so full and overflowing,
you feel the need to tell and share.
This gift from God so overwhelming,
you begin to see why it is rare.Your life enlightened and reborn,
it's so real, you just don't question.
It's always there, ever stronger,
no way around, no way to lessen.You feel God must be pleased,
with something that you did.
You don't deserve a love like this,
so you pay Him back, you do His bid.You don't doubt or fight it anymore,
your life consumed and led by love.
It is His favorite of the Three,
it's meant, it's real, it's from above.All you really need is knowing,
your love is what inspires.
Your touch, your look, your smile
is what the other soul requires.You feel all this and more,
sometimes... words will not define.
You just want the chance to hold on to it,
The rest of life to say love's mine.
