Reed Rothchild is the assumed alias of Jess Stroup, a composer and multi-instrumentalist living in Los Angeles. Jess creates electronic music that can appeal to the masses, while incorporating odd time signatures, live instruments, and electro-acoustic textures. The music is very cinematic in nature, conveying emotion and telling stories, while traversing a range of styles including electro, ambient, and breaks.
Since 2002, Reed Rothchild has released two discs and appeared on compilations from M-Tronic, Nophi Recordings, and other indie labels. Lately Reed Rothchild has been focused on music for tv, film, and commercials, and his work can be heard on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, The Bachelor, Gene Simmon's Family Jewels, Real Sex, and other shows.
