After having spent a year or so mixing in the bedroom i took to the road to showcase my skills at private parties and local venues. My DJ skills began to gain a lot of interest as bookings were coming in thick and fast. After having enjoyed success as a funky house DJ where i managed to play at clubs such as Purple E3, Umbaba, Funky Buddha, No.5 Cavendish Square and Pacific Edge I met my partner in crime, and we embarked on a journey to the filthier beats that is Electro!The Producer Billy Poulter: As good friends we were always playing around on the decks and running our own events together from a young age. However this didnt seem enough as my passion for music was more than finding the latest tunes and playing them over. Having spent years Djing numerous parties together and hosting our own events we decided to join forces as THE FILTHY FUNKERZ, whereby Jedd would contribute as a DJ and i would provide an injection of twisted and bass fuelled ELECTRO beats. As friends we hooked up to create our own event in the summer of 2004 called "SUMMER FUNK". The event was huge and so we began to host successful events at local bars and halls in order to get some publicity. With performances at The Key, 93 feet east and the all mighty Ministry Of Sound, The Filthy Funkerz are working hard to establish themselves as producers, promoters and a smashing DJ act!
