Momentum Obama, As America May Face Another Bad Choice In November!
..

Senator Barack Obama moved a lot closer to the Democratic Party nomination tonight with a sweeping victory in the North Carolina primary, and a race “To close to call” at the time of this writing, in the state of Indiana.

If Senator Obama is nominated, these two parties will have once again managed to create a very difficult choice for many voters in the general election, where the demographics are very different.

It seems that every four years we are faced with picking the lesser of two poisons, and this year will be no different. Although Senator Mc Cain is an honorable person, and surely has earned our respect, it would be far better to elect him in times of prosperity and perhaps when he was a few years younger.

Considering the difficult economic and social challenges we are facing, we will have a choice between a candidate of integrity and patriotism against one of more relevant ideas and a very cloudy past.

Senator Obama’s 20 year association to the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and his black power African separatist Church will not be the only issue raised by the right. Obama’s association with William Ayers an unrepentant terrorist will be raised along with the Senators’ participation in the Million Man March run by Louis Farrakhan.

Add to these the wedge issues of not wearing a Flag pin, and Michele Obama’s comments about having been proud of America for the first time, and we are in for a bitter and divisive election.

People will be torn between their heart and their heads, and that will be a very difficult choice. In a year when a generic Democrat should win by a huge margin, this may be a very close election. Ironically, there is the possibility that the Electoral College may determine the outcome.

It is quite feasible that if the demographics hold, Obama might win the popular vote, and lose in swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and ironically Florida and Michigan.

Hillary Clinton was probably the most qualified candidate offered by the Democrats in many years. Although she presented specific polices, her perceived negatives could not overcome the amorphous message of change espoused by Barack Obama.

Also, the failure of the Press to expose the Reverend Wright fiasco, and their desire to coddle Senator Obama at any cost, may end up having incalculable costs upon our Country.

Certainly the 527’s and the Republicans will not follow suit in the general election. The mainstream media combined with these two parties have once again produced a choice that is most difficult to make.
