My name is Sheeby. I'm a kitty and this is my meow space. I'm sometimes called Sheeby Sue, Sweet Thing, Boo, Sassy, Sugar Bear, Little Love, Sugar Boo, Scooby Doo, Love Bug and the "little white streak" because I run so fast. I'm not a full-blooded type kitty, but my Mommy says I'm very special and has the sweetest heart ever. She says I am "a true gift from the angels". My birth Mom was abandoned during Hurricane Katrina and was rescued along with 4 other Momma cats by a sweet lady with an amazing love for fur-babies. I was one of about 40 kittens born to these Katrina refugee kitty Moms. In January 2006, my human Mommy lost her "little girl" of 14 years and my kitty sister, Sheba. She was devestated, very sad and alone. My Mommy Kathy, suffered a stroke (brain injury) in March 2006, leaving her right side partially paralyzed. She needed a loving kitty to keep her company, help with her therapy and take care of her. I was only 2 weeks old when Mommy first saw me, and it was love at first sight for my new Mommy and me. I was adopted the day after Mother's Day, May 15, 2006, and this became my forever home when I was 5 weeks old. Mommy says I was the best Mother's Day gift ever! We have a special bond and are soulmates. I can't imagine my life without my Mommy. It's been two years since my Mommy's illness, and she has made amazing progress with me by her side. We are both survivors!
I'm a full-time indoor kitty and the only child, so yes, I'm spoiled and pampered. I have a mind of my own and will do what I want, when I want. I'm sometimes too smart for my own good, too. I'm a night owl and sleep most of the day except when watching my friends, Alvin and Oscar, the squirrels. I like to hunt down bugs and I'm an expert at chasing wasps. Mommy buys me lots of great toys, but I prefer plastic grocery bags, ponytail holders, the plastic rings from milk cartons, and lots of boxes.
On September 23, 2008, handsome Beaux Premeaux asked me to be his girl and quickly stole my heart. He's kind, very sweet and treats me like a princess.
