A short story about my music life:
I have been pl'*aying music for almost 15 years now. I started out as a Hard Core kid in in a band I don't remember the name of today. But something made me stop listening to Earth Crisis, Snapcase, Strife, Refused and such. This thing was a new found love: At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul.
Melodic Death metal took over my life, I started playing with some guys (-96). After several demos, recordings and label let downs we changed name for the last time to Cipher System . We released an album in 2004 called "Central Tunnel 8".
As nothing happend to Cipher I started playing bass in a band called Nightrage . We released Descent into Chaos in 2005. Toured America and Europe in 2006 and in the beging of 2007 we unleashed "A new disease is born".
But by the time of the release of "A new disease is born" I had to step down for someone else to join the band as a permanent bass player. This band has made so much for me and I want to thanks Marios for all his work!
My musical live didn't end with Nightrage, I joined Dead By April in early 2007, but I just had to quit in early 2008 due to not being able to reharsal as much as they wanted me to do.
That was when Cipher System really started to work again. We have now made around 10 new songs for an upcoming album, and I hope that you can expect this album before the end of 2008. But as we are searching for a new singer right now I don't if that is possible.
in 2008 I started writing songs from how I thought a band should sound. The genre is kind of mix bethween Rock, Groove, pop-rock and metal.
Instead of starting up a new band I joined a band called Lavett with some old friends that I have been playing with before. I just can't be more happy with the whole direction and the creative persons in the band. We just started our first album recording and you can follow that in our Studio Diary that we update as we go along. Check it out below here:
As I relalized that music isn't easy to live on, I started working with graphic design in 2000, first for my own bands sake, (someone had to make that fucking webpage for us) but I really liked it, so over the years I have grown into an all around graphic designer. Today I can now provide a lot more services then just web design as you can see here in my gallery. I have worked with clients as Universal, Coca Cola, Sony Ericsson, Emi and a lot more small and big companys.
