Ray Ace was born into hip hop, a well versed, methodical writer and energy crowd pumping performer. In and around the Chicago area he has performed live at Crossroads Entertainment Center and Prairie State College Talent Showcase both located in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He has performed for standing room only crowds at Oasis Theatre located in Blue Island, Illinois along with What’s Up Entertainment Center in Calumet City, Illinois. These are just a few of his notable performances. A recent graduate from South Suburban Community College with an A.A.S. in Business and a background in the theatre with credits from the stage play “Black Comedy” where he performed as Mr. Bamburger a rich socialite returning from vacation to find his home tampered with by neighbors. Presently attending Chicago State University majoring in Business with a minor in Arts and Sciences. Growing up in Chicago’s Public Housing in his early years never detoured him from a dream of performing his methodical lyrics to the masses. Ray Ace has always been fond of the hip hop music but it wasn’t until he turned 12 that he started to take the poetry that ran through his mind and documented it on paper. These documented rhythmic lyrics became public at the age of 19 when he located studios and willing producers to assist him with putting his paper mindful and paper lyrics on wax, cd wax that is. His first single notoriously big is a dedication to one of the greatest rappers in the hip hop industry Notorious Big. Rappers like the Notorious Big and Tupac paved the way for a young man like Ray Ace to dream and dream big. Though he isn’t at a Biggie, Tupac status at the present time, his dedication and love of hip hop, rap in particular keeps him striving towards success in the entertainment industry. Is rap dead?
