I am here for Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Product of the sixties type guy who has never given up on: music, socialism, having multiple people in my love life, and various related peace/love value systems but not quite the entire list.I like travel. I like cities -- my favorites at the moment being San Francisco, New York, Vancouver, and London. All of which I've had the fortune to spend significant time in. I like walking around in them, finding out about their food and their music and their people. City walks are a particular passion of mine. Paradoxically perhaps, I also like open space and wilderness and hiking in such places. Dislike: suburbs. :) Also I am a hopeless romantic.(Begin Sherwood Anderson quote.)The old man had quite an elaborate theory about this. In the beginning, there were a great many thoughts, but no truths. And then the thoughts began to coalesce into truths, and they were all beautiful. I will not try to tell you them all. There was the truth of virginity, and the truth of passion. Of thrift, and of profligacy. A great many truths were everywhere, and they were all beautiful. People began grabbing the truths. Some who were strong, grabbed a dozen or more. And then a curious thing happened -- when a man took a truth, made it *his* truth, and tried to live his life by it, the truth became a falsehood, and the man became a grotesque. (Sherwood Anderson, paraphrased a bit)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Mostly just here to meet people I like to talk to.Because I am in two longterm relationships (one marriage, one long-distance relationship) I did not check the "dating" box on the myspace info. And you, my friends, are all so cool!
