I'm all about having fun!!! I work at B96 (number 1 Radio Station in Chicago) as a Promotions Manager. I'm out and about all the times hittin up all the hottest clubs in the city and the burbs. Taking a walk down memory lane . . . I grew up on the North and West side (2 houses) and went to Elgin High School, Class of '98. I had the best friends in the world (B-Town love). I stayed local for college going as far as Elgin Community College, which honestly kept me very busy, studying women and what was for lunch. During college I worked at Pro DJ's as an Operations Manager and a mobile DJ, which is when I finally was doing something I loved (playing music and entertaining people.) That's when I realized what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In order to get started I found a broadcasting college that could get me in the business in no time, The Illinois Center for Broadcasting in Lombard. That's when I got my big break; I needed an internship as a requirement for graduation so of course I went for the best station in Chicago (B96). Interning at the station was awesome I was able to go out and meet people and help with concerts and Remotes. I learned so much about the behind the scenes like how Remotes worked and all the studio equipment. During my internship my whole life came to a halt after my father passed away and right after that my internship was over and everything I had worked so hard for just came to an end. However thanks to the support of Michael, Renee and the rest of the B96 family, I received the call to come in to interview for an open position in the Promotions Department. I worked my way up from a Promotions Coordinator to a Remote Supervisor, which handles all aspects of our Live Broadcasts. I had the opportunity to fill in as Promotions Supervisor, as a Promotions Supervisor I write the liners the DJ's read and set up appearances, remotes and work directly with the Sales Department to help continue the success of the station. I left the Radio indusrty for 7 short months for a change and was a Marketing Manager for Ala Carte Entertainment and did Marketing for 7 clubs in the burbs but after a Beach Bash Cruise with B96 I made the decision to get back into Radio but as an Account Executive. I did radio sales for about a year and then got the opportunity to get back into the Promotions Department (where I belong). Now I'm back in promotions as a Promotions Manager and doing all aspects of B96's Live broadcasts. Working at a Radio Station is so much fun and I love it. Don't you love it when dreams come true! . . . Lets see where the next step will take me . . . Wish me luck!!!
