Myspace Backgrounds ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------Music has always been a big driving force for me. Hearing a good song can take you directly back to the time and place where you first heard it - your life history accompanied with its own soundtrack... ---------In the music media I long to hear something which makes your head tingle, and you just well-up inside - like a cathartic effect. Can't say there's much about in contemporary mainstream that does that for me anymore!? it's as if the whole spirit of making music as a mode of emotional communication has been lost. Music is to be shared, appreciated and talked about. There really is some great stuff out there with the unsigned and independent artists, who are more than capable of inspiring and pushing genres forward. My favourite musical quote: "If a song has no soul, it's because the writer has not put it there" (Bjork).

Sounds Like: I'd have to say a whole number of bands, singers, certain songs made a lasting impact over the years - put them all together, and you have a sound which aims to be evokative, reflective, thought-provoking and hopefully uplifting. A combination of dark and light.. if that makes any sense?!
