With over a decade of writing, recording, and touring under his belt, Ron Greene has quietly become one of the more accomplished musicians in the Northwest.
His first success was with the band Cross Wind, an Arizona based band that received regional success for a 3 year run. In the years after Cross Wind, Ron would begin an education in the studio, while also mastering his session skills on the guitar.
Time passed and the winds changed as, for a season, music took a back seat and Ron adjusted to a new life of marriage. As this time passed the music began to slowly bloom again. Over the next few years Ron played independently in a multitude of settings while at the same time slowly putting together what would be his first solo project.
Through life’s ups and downs, fatherhood, divorce, and the loss of loved ones, the music kept coming and his skills continued to mature. His hard work paid off when Ron would begin playing guitar for the Nate Schierman band. Over the last 4 years Ron has recorded 4 studio albums, toured the west coast, playing for thousands with the band and, with his energetic stage presence & adept guitar playing, earned the respect of his peers.
Schierman's band took a breather as 2006 began, opening the door for the long awaited completion of Mr. Greene's debut solo album. His sound is an organic, raw blend of 80's pop sewn together with sincerity of soul and a little rock and roll. Words of love, friendship and simple faith flow through a record that only a lifetime could create.
With great anticipation a new era has begun for the artist Ron Greene. With the release of “Sketches†fans, old and new, will be able to get a glimpse into the heart and mind of this artist.
