I don't watch many movies but here are a few I own or would consider buying: Brazil, Baraka (probably spelled wrong), Fog of War, Blade Runner, Fifth Element (more for the visuals), Buffalo 66, 2001, Star Wars, Zentropa, ... more to follow ...

Old Orwell stuff that is less popular, love Rushdie - currently reading "Grimus", Arthur C Clark, Nick Bantock, used to be into Vonegut & Bukowski and would like to read them again - recommend The Sparrow (can't remember the author)
hmmm - it used to be Tank Girl - the real one from Deadline, not the wussed out hollywood version, but now that I have mellowed ... I have always looked up to Harriet Tubman and Jimmy Carter. People I know - my mom and Diana Laughlin.
