I was diagnosed in 1997 with an incurable disease called Interstitial Cystitis (IC), which is alot like lupus in the way it affects the auto immune system.
So most of the time when I'm on here I am trying to entertain myself so I'll forget about how much pain I am in. I also have Raynauds, Fibro, Osteoarthritis, Facet's, Disc Degenerative Disease, etc. The list seems to go on and on.I'm currently spending a large amount of time researching a transplant surgery trial that is starting in 2007 that may literally save my life.
If you'd like more info on IC don't be afraid to ask. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. I'll be glad to give you the web address. . .just ask.I have 2 wonderful sons (ages 22 and 17) and a fantastic husband who is the love of my life.
My oldest son, Michael, (who's pic is the first one below) is attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
My youngest son, who's pic is after Michael's, is about to start his senior year of high school and is on the track team. He's 17 years old and is hitting the 6' mark and still growing!
