The Stray Cat Alliance is committed to the care and protection of the forgotten strays living in the shadows of our world. Our programs are a large piece of the puzzle in creating a "No Kill Nation" where a home is found for every healthy or treatable companion animal, feral cats are fixed and properly cared for, and sterilization is readily available.
The number of cats on the streets, impounded, and sadly, killed in pounds, far exceeds that of any other animal. If we are to become a truly compassionate nation, we must embrace programs that humanely and effectively reduce the cat population, and implement programs that are innovative and proactive, which save lives, not end them.
How We Help:
SCA is a valuable resource to communities by empowering the public to help in this important cause: Our hotline is available to answer questions and provide resources, we loan traps and provide training on their use, we locate veterinarians and pay for spay or neuter. We also provide food and medical support to feral cat feeders. On a larger scale, SCA sponsors high-volume spay and neuter clinics for stray cats. Working in conjunction with local governments, and private and commercial interests, we are effective advocates for feral cats living in public places such as parks, universities, hospitals and apartment buildings.
Every month, through our hotline and other public outreach programs, SCA aids over a thousand cats in some important way, including Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR), spay/neuter funding, or life-saving advice. We believe that EVERY life is precious and deserves our compassion and dedication, no matter how old or young, stray or owned. We hope you will join us in this very worthwhile effort.
