I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am Britney, and I like Dance Dance Revolution.Britney Playing Dance Revoloution at Disneyand.
The world is my classroom, my workplace, and my playground. I am driven, inspired, and motivated, but with a kind and empathetic heart. My main passion is helping people and animals, and I strive to bring more into the world than I take out.
I am laid back yet hyper—a true oxymoron--and experience sheer bliss while biking, trail running, playing Frisbee, field hockey, hiking mountains, swing dancing, horseback riding, listening to good music, laughing with friends, and spending quality time with those I care about. I enjoy riding in century rides and bike tours. In 2004, I rode across rural East Africa by bicycle, where I ultimately climbed the highest freestanding mountain in the world—Mount Kilimanjaro. Visiting the wilds of Africa was my biggest childhood dream, so I treasure this experience like nothing else!
My most recent adventure was a bicycle journey across Sonora, Mexico where I ultimately reached the tiny fishing village of Bahia de Kino on the Sea of Cortez. My next adventure, starting November, is a three month bicycle journey with my friend from Phoenix to Panama to raise money for the 100 Club of Arizona, which aids families of fallen public safety officers. Learn more about the 100 Club of Arizona below:

Our goal is to raise $50,000 by the end of our ride.
While on our journey, we will be keeping an online journal. Be sure to bookmark it!

I love animals and have been a vegetarian for 18 years. I also worked for some time in wildlife rehab, nurturing babies and injured adults to health. I am especially fond of dogs. Ben is my canine companion--a wonderful "velcro dog", who is a 4 year old rescued Doberman.
Professionally, I am a bike patrol officer and develop computer games. As President of AGD Interactive (www.agdinteractive.com), my team and I made high-quality remakes of the beloved King's Quest games, which were downloaded over half a million times. We're now preparing to release a remake of Quest for Glory II VGA.
I am also Chairman & CEO of Himalaya Studios, and released “Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman’s Mine” (www.alemmo.com). It won the award: “Best Indie Game of 2006”. I am entrepreneurial in nature and a freelance graphic and web designer and illustrator. I also take on the role of an everyday Dr. Phil, offering advice and assistance on a popular psychology website I founded. I've recently been offered the position of President of an up and coming non-profit association related to said site!
Personally, I am a nurturer and protector; friends describe me as loyal, reliable, optimistic and devoted. I hear I am stubborn and hard headed when I want something, and I have a habit of setting unthinkable goals, organizing a game plan, and bulldozing my way to a successful completion. But more importantly, I like to have fun and be goofy, and may just be the most extroverted shy person you’ll ever know!
I enjoy communicating through writing, and feel compelled to tell a good story. I also enjoy creating detailed artistic works and have been an artist ever since I could hold a pencil.
I am passionate about foreign languages and cultures. I have a B.A. in German, although I have also studied Japanese, Spanish, Swahili, and even Nahuatl (the language of the ancient Aztecs). I am inspired by the world we live in, hence travel as frequently as possible. I have explored Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and much of North America and the Carribean; additionally, I have lived abroad in Germany, Australia and Japan.
My favorite person growing up was my dad--a dedicated and devoted husband and father, who was creative, gentle, a programmer, a genius, and cofounder of the Castles 'n' Coasters amusement park. He unfortunately succumbed to cancer way too young. Although no words can describe how much I miss him, he shared with me his wonderful values while he was around, and his early death taught me to take nothing for granted and to experience all life has to offer while we are here. Losing my dad was the hardest experience I know of, but I feel fortunate to be blessed with the presence of the best friends imaginable, who share many of his awesome traits—many of these friends you will find on this very page!.. ..
