About Me

First off, I want to welcome and thank you for visiting my "Myspace Page." It truly is an honor being able to share my music and words with anyone willing to listen. Personally, I feel music it's the only real communication we have left in this world, which makes it more of a sacred gift of display.
Here's a brief history and future of my existence:
Born in the soulful city of Chicago and raised in Houston Texas, the veneration of music was inevitably embraced at an early age. The most influential and talented musician I have ever met was none other than my own father (Peace be upon his soul) His voice, words, and ardent passion for music became the catalyst for my eventual path of creative expression.
As a young kid, I was known for being an avid attic & living room performer! (ask my mom) There was instant gratification in entertaining my friends and family every time they visited. Whether I was singing songs by Prince, rappin' lyrics by Ice-T and N.W.A, or break-dancin' to Planet Rock, I knew Music would always be my permanent sanctuary.
My primitive artistic work consisted of a couple of Hip hop and Rock projects. If I wasn't rappin', I was singing and if I wasn't singing, I was expressing myself through poetry. I guess you can call me a bonafide "Musical Schizophrenic."
In 2003, I was the lead singer/songwriter for an alternative rock band. It was an amazing learning experience, and the immersion solidified my passion for song-writing. After a three year rendezvous, the band was disbanded and a rekindled love brought me back home to a place called..... "Hip Hop"
My latest release is a 'Self titled' Demo which is available for free downloading or you can grab your own copy at locations to be announced soon! The lyrics encapsulate my deepest feelings of resilience, love, and malcontent towards the current state of Hip Hop. Imbuing words with poetry and fusing a progressive style of music is my weapon to promote a message of self-discovery, passion, and unifying all people under one love: Music.
The future has it's running shoes on, equipped with ardor and a unquenchable thirst for creativity. 2007 will be the platform for live shows and random public invasions. A new EP, merchandise, and much more will find fruition in 2008.
Lastly, please feel free to write me with your questions, feedback, and comments. I would love to hear whats on YOUR mind. One of the most rewarding things about making music is hearing other people's interpretations. It's the total engagement of all parties that makes music spiritual, and keeps me inspired to write. Although, some of us haven't met in physical form, I believe we already have. Just listen.
Sincerely yours,
OZeaL
