Going On almost 30 years as a successful songwriter, this is a sweet time for singer, songwriter, publisher, producer, manager, label owner, Steven McClintock.With more than 400 recorded songs to his credit, he has been honored with another BMI SONGWRITER AWARD for his hit composition,â€All This Timeâ€, recorded by Tiffany which hit 6 on the Billboard HOT 100, and went double platinum on Tiffany’s sophomore CD “Hold An Old Friend’s Handâ€. This was Steven’s second outing with Tiffany having had a song entitled “Kid On A Corner†on her previous quadruple platinum debut release. Steven had received a BMI award as a publisher for Aaron Tippin’s “That’s As Close As I’ll Get To Loving You.â€Being a treasured staff writer for Island Music/Polygram Music, The Welk Music Group, George Tobin Music, Sony ATV Music, Ash Street Music and McJames Music has helped nurture Steven’s talent for writing and co-writing chart busting songs. He writes about subjects close to his heart and writes prolifically in all genres of music.Juice Newton recorded Steven’s “Until Tonight†which landed in the top 20 of Billboard’s Country Singles chart back in 1980 to start it all off. Followed by “Christmas Needs Love To Be Christmas†in 1983 which has been recorded by many artists including Andy Williams (whose latest Christmas record recently went Platinum in the U.S.), Pat Boone, Juice Newton, Wickety Wak and Danny Shirly of Confederate Railroad. Victoria Shaw, Paul Jefferson, Sixwire, ATC, Alex Boye, Trademark, Crowtown, The Nelsons, Cathy-Anne McClintock, Judy Akin, Cris Barber, Alex Harvey, Heather Small, Haley Breedlove, and others have all recorded Steven’s songs. RCA teen act PC Quest recorded 10 of Steven’s pop/dance songs on their two CDS. Plus Tiffany cut 15 of Steven’s songs over a 20 year period.Not surprisingly, his versatile song writing has also gotten the attention of Hollywood. Steven has co-scored 19 films for companies such as Sony Films, EMI films, and Action International, and has had over 70 songs released in various other movies including Peter Bogdonavich’s ILLEGALLY YOURS, as well as JETSON’S: THE MOVIE.(two of which he was also the featured vocalist for MCA). His songs have also shown up on several popular television shows including ALL MY CHILDREN, GROWING PAINS, SILVER SPOONS, THE PRETENDER, JAG, ANDY WILLIAMS NEW ENGLAND SPECIAL, BOB HOPE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, COLD SQUAD, and on cable stations such as HBO, Showtime, PAX, Disney Channel and others.Steven’s love of music has long been reflected in performance as well as a songwriter. He’s created a strong and loyal Southern California following as an acoustic guitar/solo artist, as well as lead vocalist/guitarist in several bands. He’s sung background vocals with many artists, such as Phil Collins, Carlene Carter, Tiffany, Elvira, John Jorgenson of the Desert Rose Band, Jeff Pearson, Victoria Shaw, Alex Harvey, Rob Crosby, Don Williams, The Nelsons, Paul Jefferson, The Nelsons, and Mark Collie. In addition to these live and television performances, you may have heard him without even knowing it, as he’s sung in over 200 commercial jingles for radio and television, including a recent radio spot in Ottawa, Canada and monthly spots in Los Angeles.For all his astonishing success as a songwriter and performer, Steven still finds time to produce and manage. After two years of managing alt rock dance band Shiny Toy Guns, Steven has turned over the reigns and currently focusing on licensing their material via alternative sources. Since January 2007, STG songs have been heard on The L Word, Ugly Betty, Honda commercial Australia, Scion Commercial US, Bombay Sapphire Gin, radio and TV promos for America's Top Model and Dancing With The Stars, as well as having two different songs as feature of the week on ITUNES...both in the US and UK.He is currently producing a new pop rock act Brian Stoner, managing lyricist extradonaire Pamela Phillips Oland, and producing/managing the Americana/rootsy Canadian production of his wife, Canadian singer songwriter, Cathy-Anne McClintock.On the heels of another release in Europe with "Private Glory" by Heather Small, “If Love Is Blindâ€, which recently went multi-platinum, and “Look at Me Now†by Warner Brothers country rockers SIXWIRE, Steven is now prioritizing his time to pursue what many have wanted him to do all along. He’s busy in his studios in Los Angeles laying down tracks for his long over due 3rd CD of original songs. This will be a welcome addition to a long, respected and successful career of Steven McClintock. It’s not over yet.
