This is MY new chapter. Welcome...
it has been a long time coming, I have decided it is time to reclaim this page and finally make it my own.
And now for a bit of me...Growing up in the small town of Scarborough Maine, I had yearned to break free and get away from the trees and backroads of my small town and into the hustle of a larger and vibrant city. 21 years later after a brief stint in the handheld city of Portland Maine, my quest finally came to an end. A boyfriend at the time was moving to Philadelphia for College and I came along to help him secure a residence (with no intention of moving. No offense Philly but you were not the first stop on my quest.) After only 3 days of being in Philly we had secured him a place, dropped a boatload of money on records at 3rd Street Jazz, saw Morrisey and New Model Army live and danced our ass off at Revival. This was definitely a sign...
14 years later...
And I officially call Philly my home.
Between owning Spaceboy Music for 9 years, making some of the most important friendships and relationships I have ever had in my life and completely and utterly loving this city despite it's many flaws, I now know what it means when people say that they are blessed. I have been blessed repeatedly in this city and it continues on a daily basis. Philly can be a tough nut to crack, but when you do, you will never want to leave.
So, other than that, if you ever want to know me or strike up a random conversation with me, music is defintely the way to go. It is a constant with me and will never change. If I don't know, (unless I just don't care)I want to know and will listen intently until I get home and research.
Outside of music, I love to laugh, talk, listen and help. These are also the things I look for in my friends and if you know any of them you will see what I mean. Just stop in Crash, Bang, Boom and see for yourself
So, in a nutshell, I love Philly, I love my friends, I love my life and most importantly (again, thank you Philly) I love my boyfriend Robert Drake for awakening a spark in me that had long since been fading fast.
Again, as I said at the beginning... Welcome!
