ANOOP ON YOUTUBETHIS MYSPACE-PAGE IS DEDICATED TO NEW MUSICAL ARTISTS ABOUT ME: I love music - like air, I couldn't live without it. I love my old favorites but am always on the look out for new talent too. It was on American Idol last year (2008) that I discovered a Jason Castro. Although he was young and inexperienced, Jason had a lot of heart and soul and a passionate love of music and a desire to share his music with the world. People were immediately drawn to his unique voice and style. Now a year later, Jason now stands at the very beginning of his career in music. He signed with Atlantic Records on April 13,2009 and is currently writing and recording his first cd which scheduled to be released in October. American Idol this year (2009) brought another young man to my attention : Anoop Desai from Chapel Hill NC. Anoop was a graduate student at UNC when he decided to audition this year. Other than being a soloist with the UNC Clefhangers A'Capella group since 2004, Anoop has had no other musical training or professional musical experience. Even so, he finished 6th in the competition and will be on the American Idol summer tour with the rest of the finalists. He has a rich buttery smooth voice that grabbed me the first time he opened his mouth. He says music is the one thing that makes him truly happy and you can tell.
