About Me
Hi my name is Christian Laurian and I am eight years old. I love to play the piano and have always felt music so deep in my heart since I was a baby! Playing the piano and performing brings me tremendous joy and I hope that people enjoy my music just as much as I enjoy playing it for them.
My biggest influence in music is my hero and friend, William Joseph and I am sure you have heard of him because he is very famous and more importantly is a great pianist and a great person!! I hope to share my music with people when I am older the way that William has shared his. I can hardly wait to play the piano in some of the beautiful concert halls around the world! I also love to compose and you can hear my very first composition “White Tigers at Snowfall†on my page. This song was actually written for William and my wonderful piano teacher, Mr. Turner. Mr. Turner is the most amazing piano teacher in the world but unfortunately he has been extremely ill this year and I miss our lessons terribly, but most of all Mr. Turner himself!
My favourite composers are: William Joseph, Beethoven, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Bach, Grieg, and many more. I have enjoyed performing at many places including: The opening of the Children’s Hospital and other events at the Hospital, The Calgary Stampede, Beautiful places in Spain, and the Royal Caribbean Cruise in Europe. However, my most favorite performance was playing the amazing song “Katherine†at William’s concert in Calgary, this special night was unforgettable and I have never felt so happy!! I also love playing the piano for the kids at the Children’s Hospital and at the Ronald McDonald House because I am happy that my music cheers them up when they are feeling so sick. It makes me so very sad to see such tiny children that are ill and I wish I had a magical piano that when I played it, it would make them feel better right away.
I also love to dance, swim, play tennis and go hiking in the mountains although I am a bit scared of meeting a bear. I also loves dogs, horses, dolphins and cats, as you can tell, I really love animals!
The most precious thing in my life is my darling little sister who is both the sweetest girl, the funniest and really an actress even though she is only four years old. My sister is also one of my biggest fans for my piano and she loves listening to my pieces and will often say “Bravo Christian†or “Christian, don’t speed up†even if I am playing the right tempo.
I am so happy to have met so many great friends on myspace and be able to share my music with them. I look forward to meeting lots of wonderful people over the next year.

..CHRISTIAN'S PIANO ACCOMPLISHMENTS..
* Christian was invited by William Joseph to play the song "Katherine" at the Jack Singer Concert Hall during William's February 4th concert. A dream come true for Christian and an amazing night!!
* Performed at the Calgary Stampede Youth Talent Show at age six (July, 2006 - 2007)
* Performer at the Jubilee Auditorium in 2005 "Starts Of the Festival" featuring ten outsanding performers from the Calgary Kiwanis Festival. Christian was five years old.
* Christian was the feature performer at a formal event at the Children's Hospital where he played for an hour before the ceremony unveiling the commissioned art mural. A wonderful afternoon! Jan
* Christian performed three pieces at the Miss Calgary Pageant where he was extremely well-received and also was asked to hand out flowers to some of the winners.
* Performed at the Grand Opening of the New Calgary Children's Hospital at age six, (August, 2006)
* Performed at the Children's Hospital Birthday Celebration (September, 2007)
* Winner at Panorama, BC Talent Show (August, 2005, 2006 & 2007)
