I am someone who believes in the true love of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. I also adore Jessica's sister Ashlee. Nick and Jessica reminded me of the Sonny and Cher of today, with their variety shows, tv appearances, duets, comedy, and their reality show The Newlyweds. Their wedding was so beautiful. I believe that they still love each other but many factors contributed to their break up. Not the Newlyweds show but the immense fame that came to them after that show. The pressure, even a little innocent competition, some interference from friends and family and some people who were jealous and wanted to break them up. They succeeded, like Vanessa Minillo and AJ Discala. AJ took Nick partying and clubbing when Jess was filming Dukes of Hazard, thus encouraging him to womanize and cheat as did AJ on his then wife Jamie Lynne Discala of the Sopranos. Vanessa always secretly wanted Nick and kept a close eye on the two...hoping they would break up and telling Jess she should leave Nick. Flirting with Nick while Jess was singing on TRL. Joe Simpson interfered as did Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb but not on purpose...Jess was young and wanted them around a lot...she did not know better. Ken is a great friend to Jess and Cacee is turning out to be one too. Joe is just Joe...he cannot help himself. He loves his daughters and is overprotective. The world had fallen in love with Jessica, the beautiful Marilyn Monroe type dumb but sexy blond men love who also reminded of of Chrissy from Three's Company, as she dressed like her in the Halloween episode (Nick was Jack and Cacee Janet)and she came out with adorable spontaneous dumb blond "Jessica moments" like asking if Chicken of The Sea is Chicken or Tuna, thus causing tons of fans to send cans to their house, and give Jess ones to sign. It a household joke...adorable. And Nick loved his little sexpot. But he wanted to be Mr. Fix it in the house while Jess just wanted to go shopping. So cute. The world fell in love with the beautiful Newlyweds...our Ken and Barbie. But it all crumbled soon after the show ended and Jess was filming a movie, doing tv appearances and touring because she had become more famous than Nick who was origonally in 98 degrees. Oh yeah, Drew and Leah (his brother and Drew's wife)were always around too...Cacee moving in, Joe managing them, Ken always around, Vanessa lurking around chasing Nick, etc...not much privacy for a young couple who need their space...and the cameras on them all the time! But ironically the show made them a hit and we love the episodes..we have them on DVD! Now they they are not as famous they should spend time together. If Vanessa would just get out of the picture they would get back but she is holding on to her meal ticket for dear life since she has no talent or career. She just wants to be Jess and tries really hard! Very disappointing, Nick.This page is dedicated to Nick and Jessica...we love you and hope you find each other again.
