LIT Monthly::"The band's name might sound emo to most, but these guys are anything but. Nearly filling Darkside's tiny back room (35-40 people), E.T.A. ripped through a set like Jonny Rotten on crack. Yes there were moments of screamo, but when surrounded by hardcore, post-punk and prog, they can be overlooked. The songs are intense and well written, often showcasing some great musicianship. Think Transplants meets Sex Pistols. Singer 'Dick Holiday' controls the energy and stage without trying. His vocals stagger from punk to screamo to thrash, taking the audience with him, like it or not. Highlights were Holiday opening, "Remember, each and every one of you was a puddle of cum," and a blazing screamo version of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues." Anyone up for punk's intensity with a touch of beat, check them out at Curtain (Oct) and O'Riley's (Nov). (MB)
