Roger comes originally from Southampton in the UK but now Sojurning in the county of Herefordshire. He has had songs appear on compilations previously and is now working on his debut solo album.
Roger's first band was a ska band where he played alto sax, and then started writing his own songs in 1976 which usually were sung by other people. Then played for another band called Communique and co wrote 4 songs for them which were recorded in Wallsend studios, Newcastle-on Tyne. While he was in that band he started learning to play guitar. This gave him the taste for writing songs and playing in duos in folk clubs and pubs.
He entered songwriting competitions and developed his lyrical style writing songs about life in general. The collection of songs he has gathered now cover a wide range of topics. Gospel, folk, Jazz, and wider. no moving into ambient as well
NO ROOM AT THE INN

JP and RT 'No Room At The Inn' we pooled are thoughts and the result was the new co-written song posted here. Recently, a 44 yr old man they knew died of hypothermia in Hereford. They have dedicated the song to his memory and all who face the same dangers on our streets every day.

and a much fuller commercial version with string arrangement. This track will shortly become available for purchase as a download with the intention of using funds from it's sale to help those charities who tirelessly try to keep the shelters and soup kitchens open in our cities.
