About Jeannie Dee Jeannie made her first stage appearance briefly at Way Out Club at the end of 2005 in the Alternative Miss London, only days after coming out ! It was to be another 8 months before Jeannie was discovered by the fantastic Dusty 'O' and recruited into the world famous Trannyshack Girls at Trannyshack. The end of 2006 saw her first record for the Groove Sisters Media group 'Bed of Nails ' Written by Scott Houzet ,who also produced it (still Jeannies most successful track).Jeannie has since made several more tracks both by herself and with the Trannyshack girls for the same Label . 2007 saw many more live Gigs at various places around London , and they ARE live ..Jeannie Never mimes or lip syncs . Towards the end of 2007 Jeannie stood in twice at Ku bar as reserve D.J. for Sick D.J.'s . and also appeared doing light comedy songs at Stellas Cellar Comedy Club,as well as winning the 2007 Drag Diva Award and 2007 Live mike performance award . 2008 was truly a big development in her entertainment career. Starting with a few parts in Music Videos , Jeannie was then picked to appear in the Channel 4 Documentary 'Gaze' a film which won a highly commended award at the Baftas for its Director Phil Parker. A purchase of some rather decrepid Studio equiptment enabled Jeannie to set up Jeannie Studios in her flat in Gillingham ,eleven tracks and several video's have been produced here . Thanks to D.J. Holly Bee , Jeannie had a show for several months ,D.J.ing on Live Television as a Dual act and later as a single performer on Clubtown Television. She also featured on the end titles of BBC 2's Politics Show .Later in the year things really picked up, Part of Jeannies show at Trannyshack was shown on ITV's Good Morning, and there was a brief appearance on Channel 5's Tricia show. Some occasional D.J. ing at Trannyshack led to Jeannie hosting and D.J. ing her own 'Stocking Tops' club at Enclave in Soho , but sadly support was not forthcoming and it closed after a few weeks . The fantastic Johnny Woo persuaded Jeannie to do stand up comedy at his Circus Maximus Show,and it was somewhat more successful than was expected . there have been other performances since ,very sucssesful, and more to come . Jeannie won the accolade Londons Top Tranny at the end of september 2008, clinching it with an Amazing Stage preformance , Which More for a laugh than anything Jeannie entered her looney ' Spider on me 'ead' video into Eurovision at the end of 2008. Imagine her amazement when it cropped up on BBC 1 Breakfast Television in Early January 2009 and even more amazement when it was shown being reviewed on 'Your Country needs you' on BBC 1 the following evening , yes ,out of the 1000's of videos sent in Jeannies was the one that got shown !! Well this was the turning point. Now Jeannie is inundated with Gigs , Still after almost 3 years one of the famous Trannyshack Gurlz ,and resident regular D.J. at Beach Blanket Babylons "Slave to Fashion" night in Shoreditch .Jeannie is a bit of a Eurodance fanatic ,but few people seem interested in this uplifting music, Jeannie would love to D.J. at a venue playing only Eurodance music. only venue I knew was in the Bow Road but closed some time ago. Jeannie is now Resident D.J. on Sundays at the George and Dragon ,Shoreditch, an event rapidly gaining big popularity with her up tempo PoP D.J. set .
